M87 Black Hole

On April 10th, 2019 the first ever image of a black hole was released. For multiple years the Event Horizon Telescope worked to construct the image using eight telescopes located at various points around the world. The Messier 87 galaxy is located in the Virgo constellation and contains a super massive hole. Studying and imaging this black hole helps us learn about our own galaxy and those around us.

The binary reads: "I am stuck in the stillness and lost in the future.I am moving too fast to feel the fear. I know I will come out of this more powerful than I could ever be on my own as I return to dust."

Multi layer screen print with added pigments painted in select areas for enhanced contrast.
